Author's Notes: Um. Angsty. With too-long sentences and possible complete corruption of an amazing poet's work. Yes, this is based on "Annabel Lee" (I was amazingly creative with the title). Now, if you know that piece...um. Just keep your mind out of the gutter- I took creative liberty with the term "love"- and you should be fine. I hope.

Author's Notes: Okay. I worked this, I reworked it, and I reworked it some more. And I still couldn't get it to be just what I wanted. This is what came out of all that. Originally House came off a lot more sympathetic than he does here. But I wanted to write something not just angsty, but truly dark. So Chase’s stepmom is now a bitch, and House is…well, House- but to the extreme.
